Job description

ADGA is hiring a Physical Security Operation Centre Supervisor to manage our banking clients' Physical Security Incident Reporting Centre (IRC) based in the Greater Toronto Area (Downtown Toronto & Mississauga). This site serves as the current intake, triage, and escalation point for physical security and life safety matters for our clients in Canada, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Our goal is to enhance the security maturity of our banking client by creating a best-in-class, data-driven, intelligence-led Global Physical Security Operations Centre (GSOC). We aim to employ a holistic, proactive, and risk-based approach to security operations by focusing on three main areas: People, Processes, and Technology.

The Supervisor will oversee IRC activities during overnights, weekends, and holidays, and will be directly responsible for the effective management of third-party IRC staff. This role involves leading and developing a team responsible for 24/7 threat monitoring and managing tools and processes that protect our client against physical security threats. The Supervisor will collaborate with various Global Physical Security (GPS) teams and other business units to enhance the organization’s security posture.

Job Tasks :

  • Manage IRC activities and supervise third-party staff
  • Monitor and identify threat trends and incidents affecting our client
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in documentation, investigation, and report writing
  • Work comfortably with ambiguity and large volumes of data and information
  • Draft and review detailed reports on critical incidents
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Coordinate security guards as needed
  • Monitor and facilitate security-related incidents
  • Assess threats and make data-driven decisions
  • Participate in physical security projects and monitor access control systems
  • Respond to security notifications and liaise with emergency services
  • Conduct open-source research and develop intelligence products
  • Support multi-tasking, decision-making, and problem-solving efforts
  • Understand and apply operating policies and procedures
  • Support process improvements and business procedures
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and participate actively
  • Enhance knowledge through ongoing learning and development
  • Keep team members informed about project status and relevant updates
