TFS - Canada’s International School (Toronto French School) in Toronto, ON, seeks a Physical Education Teacher for 2027-2028. The role requires excellent French and English skills, OCT certification, and a strong background in PE instruction within a bilingual setting.

You will foster an engaging, inclusive classroom, adapt lessons to diverse learners, and collaborate with staff. The position starts September 2027 on a full-time basis.

Branch: Senior School (Collège : Grade 6 - Level II, Lycée : Level III -V)

Salary Range: Teachers at TFS are members of the Alliance des enseignants de la Toronto French School union. Salaries are determined according to a structured grid that considers years of teacher-training (college or university) and professional experience.

We have four salary levels (from D to G), each with its own minimum and maximum range:

• Level D: from $66,016 to $109,105
• Level E: from $68,064 to $115,414
• Level F: from $75,023 to $134,978
• Level G: from $78,299 to $138,321

About The Position

Reporting to the Principal and/or his delegate, (and working in collaboration with the teachers and resource teachers), you will be responsible to:

• The main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment which will help students meet their learning goals
• Have a clear understanding of the various needs of all the different groups of students
• Use the appropriate study materials and resources that enhance active learning and motivate students
• Oversee their progress by tracking their assignment, in order to provide useful feedback.
• Plan course material and activities
• Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff

Who We Are Looking For

• Excellent French and English skills (oral and written)
• Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.)
• Ability to teach in French (native language), English conversation language (Level B2) is also needed
• Good knowledge of the French curriculum
• Experience as a Physical Education teacher
• Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Ontarian programs would be an asset
• Teacher certification by the French Ministry of Education would also be an asset

Nous avons quatre niveaux de salaire (de D à G), chacun avec sa propre fourchette minimale et maximale:

• Niveau D: De $66,016 à $109,105
• Niveau E: De $68,064 à $115,414

La position

Sous La Supervision Du – De La Principal-e Et/ou De Son-sa Délégué-e (et En Collaboration Avec Les Enseignants-es Et Les Enseignants-es-ressources) Cette Personne Sera Responsable De

• L'objectif principal sera de créer un environnement d'apprentissage favorable qui aidera les élèves à atteindre leurs objectifs d'apprentissage
• Comprendre clairement les différents besoins de tous les groupes d'étudiants.
• Utiliser le matériel d'étude et les ressources appropriés qui favorisent l'apprentissage actif et motivent les étudiants
• Superviser leurs progrès en suivant leurs travaux, afin de leur fournir un retour d'information utile.
• Planifier le matériel et les activités de cours
• Établir des relations de confiance avec les élèves, les parents et les autres membres du personnel.
