Temporary One Year Position, 0.5-1.0 FTE
An outstanding opportunity is available to join the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at BC Children's Hospital/Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the University of British Columbia as a physiatrist specializing in neuromotor disabilities.
The Child Development and Rehabilitation (CDR) Program at Sunny Hill is a provincial resource providing consultation and community support for managing children with disabilities. The role involves working with the interdisciplinary team within the Neuromotor Program and Acute Rehabilitation Unit, contributing to the development of provincially focused, evidence-based services for children with rehabilitation needs. Services are offered in outpatient, day patient, and inpatient settings. The position includes clinical health services planning, quality improvement activities, and potential leadership in developing a new outpatient rehabilitation program.
The Division comprises twenty-one members and operates within a program management model that fosters excellent inter-professional collaboration. It also has a Royal College approved training program in Developmental Pediatrics.
The ideal candidate will have certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (or equivalent) and relevant experience with children and adolescents. Pediatric rehabilitation training is advantageous. Eligibility to obtain a specialist license to practice in British Columbia is required.
The start date is negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
