How you will make a difference :

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Midlevel Giving, the Philanthropy Officer, Midlevel Giving will manage and grow a portfolio of donors in the mid-level range ($1,200 - $7,500) annually. Working collaboratively with Major Individual Gifts (MIG), Corporate Donor Relations (CDR) and Marketing & Donor Experience (MDE), manage the personalized communications with their donors and the support of mass strategies for mid-level giving.

  • Raise funds, with a growth mindset, from assigned portfolio of individual donors
  • Engage with donors who are at midlevel giving to build and strengthen relationship with UWGT and understand current and future capacity
  • Implement (non-mass touchpoints) journeys for onboarding, renewing and upgrading donors
  • Utilize existing materials and journeys and supplement these with planned higher-touch and personalized communications by phone, email and mail
  • Monitor the gifts that are received to steward the donors quickly commensurate with the level of gift, in partnership with MDE
  • Ensure that individual donor journeys are reflective of the actions taken by the donor in that calendar year
  • Collaborate with MIG, CDR and MDE teams
  • Collect and share information / insights about the donors (via conversations with them) in order to enhance and refine the donor experience (midlevel and beyond)
  • Support the process of ongoing identification of donors who could be upgraded into Midlevel Giving or MIG and cycling others into the Key giving program if they aren’t responding to the midlevel upgrade tactics
  • Ensure timely, consistent and accurate updates to the CRM reflective of the touchpoints each donor receives
  • Leverage existing touchpoints to help engage donors within the context of their individual journeys utilizing mass and personal tactics
  • Identify further opportunities for investment and engagement within the context of the program and bring them forward for consideration

What you bring to the role :

  • More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years experience in fundraising roles, preferably in individual giving
  • Ability to set and achieve financial goals
  • Advanced MS Office skills and extensive experience with complex databases
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop effective tracking and reporting tools
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and manage contentious issues to resolution
  • Proven organizational abilities and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proven ability to carry projects to completion with minimum supervision
  • Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational equity framework through participation in learning opportunities and implementing anti-oppressive, and anti-racist learnings into action internally and externally
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and constituent service skills including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse employee population
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
