Salary range : $68,640 to $101,920

Shift structure : Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day

Primary location : Calgary, Remote

About the Role

CASA Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and strategic Philanthropy Officer to join our team in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships, this role is pivotal in building meaningful relationships with donors, cultivating new supporters and supporting third-party fundraisers. Working closely with colleagues across Alberta, you’ll help expand CASA’s impact in the region and play a key role in funding vital mental health services for children and youth.

The Philanthropy Officer, Calgary will :

  • Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift donors and partners.
  • Maintain an active portfolio of 100 to 150 individuals, foundations and corporations.
  • Collaborate on donor prospecting and research for fundraising priorities.
  • Support proper gift processing and acknowledgment procedures.
  • Monitor KPIs and campaign goals, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Assist in donor engagement events and support annual / mid-level giving programs in Calgary
  • Develop and manage acquisition strategies to grow third-party event revenue in Calgary.
  • Identify prospective donors through referrals, events and engagement activities.
  • Liaise with Volunteer Resources as needed.
  • Track, document and report fundraising activity in Donor Perfect.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent years of experience will be considered.
  • Three years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, non-profit development and event planning.
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency with fundraising tools and systems like Donor Perfect.
  • Skilled relationship builder with internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge and skillset with a variety of fundraising tools and strategies, and demonstrated experience with activities throughout the giving cycle, including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Conditions of Employment

  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
