The OVC HSC requires a Pharmacy Technician to provide excellent pharmaceutical care to patients of the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre (OVC HSC). Responsibilities include dispensing pharmaceuticals under supervision, issuing non-prescription drugs, maintaining records, stocking drug supplies, preparing specialized products, and providing guidance to new technicians and staff. The candidate must have graduated from a recognized Pharmacy Technician Training program (RPhT certification preferred) and have up to two years of practical experience. Knowledge of aseptic technique, pharmaceutical compounding, injectable chemotherapy preparation, and proficiency with pharmacy and hospital information systems are required. The role involves working 7-hour shifts with occasional evenings or weekends. The hourly rate ranges from $25.92 to $28.96.
