Responsibilities

• Process clinically reviewed and approved medication orders.
• Receive prescriptions from practitioners and verify their completeness and authenticity.
• Prepare and process prescriptions, including entering orders, counting, measuring, packaging, and compounding medications.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of prescriptions through verification and final checks.
• Handle prescriptions for inpatient leave, transfers, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain stock levels, perform clerical duties, and ensure tidiness of work areas.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Grade 12, graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program, and current registration with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.

Skills and Abilities: Effective communication, organizational skills, physical ability to perform duties, and operation of related equipment.
