You Will Make An Impact By
  1. Delivering class and/or clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods.
  2. Developing daily lesson plans; advising and tutoring students.
  3. Maintaining current and accurate attendance and grade records.
  4. Remaining current in applicable program teaching field.
  5. Participating in faculty meetings, professional growth activities, and two (2) in-service training sessions annually.
  6. Participating in college activities such as in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings. Strives for student success by providing quality instruction that results in students' achievement of course and program objectives, retention of students, and preparation for entry-level healthcare positions.
Your Experience Includes
  • At least three years of experience in the practice setting or area of expertise they are teaching in (e.g., hospital, retail, closed-door).
Preferred
  • One (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas or prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or comparable training program.
Education
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA in the specialty field or subject area.
Licenses/Certifications
  • California licensure or registration to practice as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician required.
