Job summary

Covenant Health Canada in Alberta seeks a Pharmacy Technician I for a full-time, on-site role at St. Mary’s Hospital. The position is 0.50 FTE with 7.75-hour shifts, days and weekends rotation, and located at St. Mary’s Hospital.

The incumbent will support preparation, checking, distribution and procurement of pharmaceuticals and work under the HSAA Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program or recognized equivalent.
• Active registration with Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required.
• Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams.
• Demonstrated computer or word processing skills.
• Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician I provides technical and operational assistance to the Pharmacy Department in the preparation, checking, distribution and procurement of pharmaceuticals.

The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health.

This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.
