Job summary

Trillium Health Partners, a leading healthcare provider in Mississauga, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support hospital operations across Credit Valley and Mississauga Hospitals. Responsibilities include quality patient care, accurate drug preparation, and collaboration with a team of professionals.

The role requires registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and preference for hospital pharmacy experience. Travel between THP sites may occur as needed; internal applicants prioritized.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Sound working knowledge of EPIC and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Duties as a Pharmacy Technician, in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting along with repackaging, intravenous admixing
• In collaboration with other Pharmacy Technicians, you will deliver appropriate teaching to pharmacy students
  
• Registration as aPharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
• Preceptor training with OCP is an asset
• Membership with the Canadian Associate of Pharmacy Technicians (C.A.P.T) is an asset
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy, preferred
• Experience with Swisslog automation is an asset
• Sound working knowledge of computer applications i.e. EPIC and Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting conflicting deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in providing exceptional patient centred care
• Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required
