Job summary

The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time or part-time, on-site role. The position offers a stable pay range of $21.00-$25.00 per hour with flexible scheduling options.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will perform non-sterile compounding, support the pharmacist in daily operations, and assist with deliveries when needed, with mileage reimbursement. ACP registration is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Active ACP registration as Pharmacy Technician or Provisional Technician.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Driver’s license for occasional deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-sterile compounding, including hazardous compounding. (Experience preferred, but not required)
• Carry out duties within the full scope of practice for Pharmacy Technicians as per ACP standards.
• Support the pharmacist in daily operations and other assigned tasks.
• Occasionally deliver medications to patients (mileage will be reimbursed).
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, legislation, and policies.

Qualifications

• Active registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Provisional Technician.
• Recent graduates or students awaiting PEBC results are welcome to apply.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Valid driver’s license (for occasional deliveries).

IMPORTANT – ACP REGISTRATION REQUIRED

This is a Pharmacy Technician position, NOT a Pharmacy Assistant position.
