Job description

Saskatoon Family Pharmacy is a community pharmacy located within the neighborhood of Stonebridge. We are a busy compounding pharmacy with many unique offerings including but not limited to wellness consultations, coached weight loss programs, professional supplements, compression stocking fittings, and many more specialized services that focus on the whole person. We are looking for a part-time Regulated Pharmacy Technician for a temporary contract (approx. 12 months) with the possibility of the role turning into a permanent position.


Who you are:
  • Are you a regulated technician looking to explore new opportunities and expand your knowledge and skills in the niche market of compounding? This position gives you the autonomy you need to work to your full scope of practice alongside other specialized compounding technicians and pharmacists in a team-based compounding lab.
  • Licensed to practice as a Pharmacy Technician and are in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals or eligible for registration.
  • Pharmacy experience (1-5 years) would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Kroll would be considered an asset.
  • Professional and brand-oriented with a friendly and positive demeanor to model a strong customer focus.
  • Can communicate effectively to maximize accuracy in the delivery of customer care.
What you will do:
  • In this role, you will provide patient-focused care, exceptional customer service with a positive attitude, and work closely with the Pharmacy team and other health professionals. You will:
  • Support pharmacy services by maintaining patient records, preparing, and performing technical checks of prescription products, including blister packs and compounds.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory by stocking, anticipating needed medication and supplies, placing, and expediting orders.
  • Create pharmacy compounds in a Level C compounding facility.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and the pharmacy team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and complete pharmacist referrals when necessary.
  • Maintain medication profiles of patients and follow all practices according to Federal and Provincial Law.
  • Other duties as assigned.
