Job description

Position Overview

Reporting to the Drug Distribution Manager and under the supervision of a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, the incumbent is responsible for performing tasks within their scope of practice to participate in the Pharmacy Department’s drug distribution systems, contributing to the safe and effective use of medications at St. Boniface Hospital (SBH).

Experience
  • Previous experience in hospital pharmacy practice is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Successful completion of a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Program (CCAPP) Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate or the program prescribed by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba for non-CCAPP accredited programs.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
  • Completion or eligibility to complete the CPhM Pharmacy Technician Structured Practical Training Program and Jurisprudence Examination.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Recognition or eligibility for recognition as a Pharmacy Technician by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM) is required.
