Your Responsibilities, But Not Limited To:

  • Provide support to the pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Perform regulated acts appropriately.
  • Follow the guidance of the pharmacist and pharmacy manager.
  • Ensure administrative responsibilities for the store.
  • Provide exceptional patient-centered care. Should be an RPhT.
  • Maintain good standing with the CPR certification.
  • Maintain a professional setting for retail and community outreach.
  • Maintain a compassionate environment and support patients.
  • Maintain and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship among health care professionals; respond to requests, building rapport.
  • Contribute to team effort and corporate goals.
  • Adapt roles and responsibilities based on the needs of the pharmacy.
Job Specifications & Qualifications:
  • License to practice in the province seeking employment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and strong leadership skills.
  • Computer proficiency and hands-on experience with Kroll.
  • Completion of a national board examination through the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada.
  • Practical experience through an apprenticeship or an internship program.
  • Should be registered with Alberta College of Pharmacists.
  • Training in the principles of good pharmaceutical care, including patient counselling and care.
  • Understanding of all healthcare and pharmacy laws governing pharmaceuticals, pharmacists' roles, and pharmacy operations.
