Responsibilities & Requirements

As an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Technician, you will be participating in a rewarding work environment in a Hospital Pharmacy setting. The role will be interacting with Pharmacists, Nurses, Physicians and Patients daily. You will have the opportunity to work alongside pharmacists in providing care to patients with a range of potential duties. You will be trained on sterile IV compounding, the use of automated dispensing systems (Omnicell), repackaging systems, IV compounding systems and inventory management processes. You will work with the EPIC health information system and Microsoft Suite resources as a part of an integrated health care organization that spans the region. You may even choose to grow into roles that will expose you to specialty areas of the organization as your long tenure with this amazing organization and culture continue. Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous retail pharmacy or related hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Current registration as a Registered Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio Preferred or expectation of gaining this level of registration within 6 months of hire.
  • Accurate work with careful attention to detail.
  • Excellent math and computer skills are required.
  • Possess the necessary interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with patients, coworkers and other health professionals. Cohesive team-building skills.
  • Must be able to write legibly, speak, and read English proficiently. Must be able to operate computer, calculator, telephone, and other related pharmacy equipment.
  • Adapt to changes in workload and schedule to meet patient needs. Must also have the ability to set priorities and to re-set priorities as needed by situations in the department.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and organizational skills are required for this position.
