Job summary

Jean Coutu is seeking a pharmacy student to assist pharmacists and engage customers in a welcoming, professional manner. You will collect data for prescriptions and contribute to health projects, while supporting basic lab tasks to develop foundational skills.

Positions emphasize flexible hours and a supportive, learning-focused environment within a Jean Coutu affiliated pharmacy in Quebec.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Canadian pharmacy program (years 1–4) seeking practical exposure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to learn in a clinical environment.
• Able to work with customers with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with routine tasks and patient care.
• Be the first point of contact with customers to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Gather necessary data for prescription preparation and service needs.
• Participate in clinical projects and health outreach events.
• Support laboratory tasks as needed to learn fundamental lab work.

The amounts awarded, in the form of loans that can be written off, are intended to provide you with support, but above all, a better quality of life during your university studies.

Within your team, your essential role will be:

• to actively assist pharmacists in the various professional tasks;
• be the first point of contact with the customers so that they feel comfortable; your welcome, your empathy and your professionalism will be put to good use;
• to identify the customers' needs by collecting necessary data for prescription preparation;
• to participate in new clinical projects;
• to host booth during health activities;
• to do the basic work of a laboratory technician.
