Job Description

Position Overview:

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Student will support drug distribution services, including unit dose packaging, prescription pick-up, medication deliveries, unit dose cart fill, and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Pharm. D Program
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Student
  • Knowledge of hospital inpatient pharmacy services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patient-oriented and focused
  • Ability to work well within an inter-professional team and foster effective relationships
  • Demonstrates values aligned with SHN’s Code of Conduct and promotes a healthy, positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policies and legislation
  • Utilizes protective equipment and reports hazards
  • Engages in ethical conduct and appreciates diversity within patients, staff, and community
  • Maintains excellent work performance and attendance
