Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Leader to oversee dispensing, inventory and staff in our Canada-wide Pharmacy operations. You will ensure accurate dispensing, counsel patients, and guide staff to deliver excellent service in a busy retail pharmacy.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Operations, you will manage budgets, drive sales opportunities and maintain compliance, while fostering a positive patient experience and community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license are required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail environment.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven people management ability and coaching skills.
• Excellent customer service with professionalism.
• Experience using community-based marketing strategies.
• Strong problem solving and action planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide guidance to staff.
• Hire and manage staff performance.
• Ensure financial and operational success of the department.
• Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely.
• Maintain adequate medication inventory to meet patient needs.
• Counsel patients on new medications with friendly interaction.
• Educate customers through public relations and health events.
• Resolve patient needs and respond to doctor requests timely.
• Review budgeted sales and net contribution.
• Identify and report internal and external sales opportunities.
• Review and control costs within the Loblaw Pharmacy.
