Job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new pharmacy in Burlington. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pharmaceutical practices, pharmacy operations, demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role is essential in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients while managing a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and assistants. There will be a very strong focus on fertility medications and care, and you will benefit from working alongside doctors and nurses in a clinic setting.

Duties

  1. Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to policies and procedures.
  2. Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring accuracy and safety in all prescriptions filled.
  3. Maintain compliance with OCP regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
  4. Implement quality assurance programs to enhance patient safety and service quality.
  5. Provide consultation to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication therapy management.
  6. Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
  7. Conduct staff training sessions on new medications, protocols, and best practices in pharmacy management.
  8. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop patient care plans that optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Experience

  1. Active Level A pharmacist licence and registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists is required.
  2. Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a pharmacy setting is preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and pharmaceutical standards is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with staff, patients, and healthcare providers.

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
