Job description

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide staff, manage performance, and oversee hiring processes.
  • Ensure the financial and operational success of the department.
  • Accurately prepare, dispense, and control medications.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter products.
  • Counsel patients on medications and create awareness through public relations activities.
  • Address patient needs and manage relationships with healthcare providers.
  • Review sales and contribute to budget planning.
  • Identify sales opportunities and control costs within the pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism.
  • Ability to develop community-based marketing strategies.
  • Problem-solving skills with proven ability to execute action plans.
  • Knowledge of Healthwatch and / or KROLL Pharmacy systems is a plus.
