Reporting to Regional Pharmacy Operations Manager, the Pharmacy Manager works as a member of the BioScript Pharmacy team, collaborating in the patient-centric approach supporting the distribution and provision of complex drug therapies. The Pharmacy Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations that are compliant with provincial legislation and company policies. The role also contributes to the achievement of organizational strategic goals and financial objectives for their pharmacy.

Your Mission:

  • Supervise and provide leadership to pharmacy team members.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions with direct reports, identify and address performance gaps, implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Act as the “face of BioScript” and build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders of BioScript.
  • Identifying, exploring, and supporting new business opportunities for the pharmacy.
  • Generating novel solutions to build BioScript’s exceptional brand with patients and partners.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and communicate findings to National leadership.
  • Oversee all day-to-day local pharmacy operations ensuring efficient task allocation and workflow management.
  • Lead pharmacy success of budget management and performance metrics.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new staff.
  • Provide continuous education and mentoring to enhance team skills and performance.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Currently licensed to practice Pharmacy in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pharmacy and people leadership experience.
  • Experience working or managing in a specialty environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (Email), and Word.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate independent thinking and agility in assessing situations and making informed, timely decisions to drive results.
  • Exceptional business acumen and an ability to identify opportunities to grow the pharmacy business in creative and innovative ways.
  • An innate ability to support, influence, and grow team members.
  • Takes full responsibility for decisions, actions, and outcomes, owning successes and learning from setbacks and can seek and accept constructive feedback.
  • Delivers clear, actionable feedback that focuses on solutions and encourages growth.

Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
