Job description

Position Summary...
The Pharmacy Manager, Central Fill is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and inventory at the central fill (CF) facility. The Pharmacy Manager, Central Fill must also see that the CF Pharmacy operates according to Walmart Policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.
What you'll do...
Lead the CF Pharmacy team including participation in the recruitment and interviewing of candidates, training associates on OBWs/SOPs, CF Facility Playbook (i.e. CF User Guide), and CF workflow and ensures their execution. Develop, assess, motivate and retain team members. Promote Walmart’s brand to team members. Develop a functional and collaborative relationship with the District Manager, Professional Services, and the Store Management team.
Must operate the CF Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets. Responsible for scheduling according to business needs, associate assessment and performance management, and developing and executing business action plans to meet the corporate goals and developing corrective action plans based on deficiencies identified in reports (Compliance visits, POAs, etc.) or by audits and DM visits. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories in the CF Pharmacy by following Walmart OBWs/SOPs (receiving inventory management, disposal of expired products), addressing all complaints or problems identified by originating pharmacies to ensure an excellent CF customer experience. Responsible for the regular care of the CF Pharmacy to ensure proper appearance and hospital clean environment for associates. Must maintain the professional image for the CF Pharmacy area as per Workstation Standardization. Responsible for cascading communication coming from the SSC to all CF Pharmacy associates.
Execute all programs assigned to the CF Pharmacy by the Store Support Centre CF Project Team.
Establish and develop a strong working relationship with the SSC CF Project Team, Transportation Vendors, and related stakeholders.
Pharmacist duties:
  • Accept all CF orders transmitted from originating pharmacies.
  • Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models.
  • Ensure promised turnaround times are met for both CF vials and CPacks.
  • Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
Ensure activation of business continuity plans in the event of an incident or disaster.
Ability to operate all equipment in the CF Pharmacy (Parata Max, VBM, Count Assist, PC workstations, Zebra or laser printers, handhelds).
Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body. Ensure originating pharmacies receive the correct orders and assist with any root cause investigations as required by the Compliance or Privacy Teams.
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.20/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
