Qualifications

South Country Co-op is hiring a Pharmacy Manager on a permanent basis, located at our Northlands Pharmacy location in Medicine Hat, AB.

What you’ll do :

As the Pharmacy Manager you will manage and oversee the operation and financial performance of the pharmacy’s fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will also provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the pharmacy team.

  • Oversee and monitor the budget, staffing, and inventory within the pharmacy and identify areas for performance improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that comply with legislation, bylaws, and regulations, as well as accrediting body standards.
  • Provide full-scope clinical services such as medication management, review, and injection services.
  • Advise customers on the selection and usage of non-prescription medication.
  • Provide advice and counselling to patients on possible side effects of their medications and answer any questions they may have.
  • Maintain medication profiles of patients and communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.

Who you are :

  • Have a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or a Doctorate in Pharmacy and are in good standing with Alberta College of Pharmacy.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience in a retail environment, with experience leading technical, professional, and / or management employees.
  • Experience with Kroll would be considered an asset.
  • Are licensed or able to become licensed to practice in the Province of Alberta with Injection Certification.
  • Are APA Certified or working towards certification.
  • You are honest, trustworthy, results oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships, and value the perspectives of others.
