Job summary

Cencora, via Innomar Strategies in Canada, is hiring a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to support the onsite pharmacy team. No prior pharmacy experience required, but preferred. You will label medications, process shipments, and help manage inventory to keep prescriptions moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in pharmacy support, healthcare operations, claims processing, medication access, fulfillment support, or related environment.
• Certification in pharmacy technician practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Label medications accurately per established protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and process waybills and shipping documentation to support daily courier deadlines.
• Support inventory management activities, including receiving and stocking medications.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records through filing, scanning, and admin tasks.
• Assist with delivery exception management and other logistics-related tasks.
• Escalate discrepancies to senior staff promptly.
• Assist with packing and shipping prescription orders.
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-first team culture.

This role is in support of Cencora’s patient and provider support and pharma commercialization services in Canada marketed through our Innomar Strategies business.

Summary of Role

The Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant is a new entry-level position within our onsite Pharmacy team at Innomar. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset but not required. Working under the supervision of the Manager, Pharmacy Programs or Pharmacy Program Team Lead, this role is the foundation of our daily pharmacy workflow — keeping prescriptions moving, packages prepared, and our operations running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in building a career in pharmacy or healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Label medications accurately in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and process waybills and shipping documentation to support daily courier deadlines.
• Support inventory management activities, including receiving and stocking medications.
• Perform filing, scanning, and general administrative tasks to maintain accurate pharmacy records.
• Assist with delivery exception management and other logistics-related administrative tasks.
• Escalate discrepancies or issues to senior staff or pharmacy leadership in a timely manner.
• Support general housekeeping within the pharmacy environment.
• Assist with packing and shipping prescription orders according to established procedures.
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-first team culture.

Skills and Knowledge

• A genuine interest in pharmacy operations, healthcare, or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet daily deadlines.
• Effective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, warehouse, or healthcare setting is an asset but not required.
• Completion of, or enrollment in, a pharmacy assistant program is considered an asset.
• As part of your job duties, you may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
