As a Pharmacy Data Specialist, you will use your Pharmacy Assistant expertise within the pharmacy industry to specialize in inputting prescriptions into MediSystem Pharmacy's computer system.

Along with accurate processing of prescriptions, you will also be responsible for entering and updating patient/resident electronic records. Strong communication skills are essential for discussing important information with colleagues and external partners such as physicians and nurses in long-term care facilities.

What You'll Do:

1. Retrieve faxed or electronic physician's orders, prescriptions, or requests for refills.
2. Enter prescriptions, refills, and changes into the patient's record.
3. Create new patient profiles and maintain existing records in the MediSystem database.
4. Prepare prescription label printouts.
5. Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

What You’ll Need:

1. Excellent organization and time management skills.
2. Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
3. Self-motivated with a passion for providing high-quality client services and building relationships.
4. Strong computer skills to navigate various systems quickly.
5. Accurate and efficient data entry skills with high attention to detail.
6. Preferred qualifications include:

• An undergraduate degree in science or a pharmacy-related diploma/certificate.
• Experience using Kroll software.
• Knowledge of weekly dispensing, including multi-dose or compliance packaging.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Excellent customer service skills.
