The Opportunity:
The Pharmacy Data Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategies to maintain an accurate source of critical business data across pharmacy and warehouse systems by defining data standards, cleansing data, updating data on a timely basis and ensuring data quality across the departments, effectively acting as the steward of critical pharmacy data. This role provides guidance and is responsible for maintaining master data within the pharmacy, ensuring standardization across the pharmacy network, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the database. In addition, the role will track and monitor pharmacy inventory processes and accounts receivable metrics and compile monthly pharmacy reporting. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between IT, Finance, pharmacy and distribution teams in relation to the management of Master Data.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Manage and update pricing for all public formularies within Kroll.
- Maintain and implement pricing strategies within the Kroll system.
- Regularly clean and update Kroll drug cards, including pricing and group classifications.
- Ensure alignment with Sentrex’s master data and governance framework.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Data Governance to ensure alignment to data governance protocols and ensure SOPs and work instructions are maintained.
- Support daily database operations and maintenance within Kroll Central.
- Generate, track, and manage accounts receivable and inventory reports from Kroll.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation activities as required.
- Act as a subject matter expert to enhance pharmacy reporting capabilities.
- Oversee month-end inventory reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including finance and IT in relation to master data and associated reporting.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
- Bachelor's degree in science, Health Informatics, Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Registered Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working with Kroll Pharmacy software, preferably in a superuser or administrative capacity.
- Experience with Kroll Central Maintenance tool.
- Strong knowledge of master data management, data governance, and financial reconciliation processes.
- In depth knowledge of provincial formularies.
- Provincial reimbursement knowledge.
- Experience in pharmacy operations, finance, or IT support in a healthcare setting is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve system-related issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with pharmacy, finance, and IT teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to pharmacy operations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools is a plus.
