Job description

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Cashier is responsible for delivering world-class customer service. Duties include :

• Ensuring that all prescriptions are provided to the correct patient.
• Operating cash registers and taking payment from customers.
• Assisting with merchandising and displaying packaged products.
• Assisting pharmacy staff and maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong attention to detail. Applicants should be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.

• Previous cashier experience in a retail environment is an asset.
• Basic computer knowledge, POS familiarity, and experience with electronic equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and money counters.
• Ability to adapt to new technology.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• High flexibility and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse environment.
