Job description

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Cashier is responsible for delivering world-class customer service. Duties include:

  1. Ensuring that all prescriptions are provided to the correct patient.
  2. Operating cash registers and taking payment from customers.
  3. Assisting with merchandising and displaying packaged products.
  4. Assisting pharmacy staff and maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications

Candidates must possess excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong attention to detail. Applicants should be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.

  • Previous cashier experience in a retail environment is an asset.
  • Basic computer knowledge, POS familiarity, and experience with electronic equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and money counters.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • High flexibility and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.

Full availability required, including days, evenings, and weekends.
