Job summary

CareRx Corporation seeks a Pharmacy Assistant L1 to support pharmacy operations for LTC homes and retirement communities in London, ON. You will assist with medication preparation, labeling, packaging, and daily dispensing workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates bring experience or certification, knowledge of inventory processes, and strong communication, detail‑oriented approach, and manual dexterity. This on-site role emphasizes patient safety and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification preferred, but training provided.
• Experience with KROLL and PacMed an asset.
• Basic working knowledge of pharmacy inventory processes.
• Visual acuity, detail oriented, manual dexterity for handling packs and labels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure precise record-keeping of prescriptions via dispensary software.
• Prepare and label medication for compliance packs and processing within timelines.
• Processing refills in Kroll.
• Package medications (blister packs, vials, strips).
• Synchronize data with PacMed machine.
• Complete corrections of medication rolls through PacVision.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management and operate PacMed.
• Manage returns and dispose expired products from nursing homes.
• Prepare creams and liquids.
• Generate daily and weekly production reports.
• Maintain stock levels, restock shelves and reorder medications.
• Prepare manual and automated compliance packaging.
• Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and a clean pharmacy environment.
• Day-to-day maintenance of operations with teammates.
