Position Summary

CareRx is in an exciting growth phase and is seeking to hire a Pharmacy Assistant - Shipping and Delivery Driver to join our great Specialty Pharmacy team located at 8525 Commerce Court, Burnaby, BC. This is a full-time opportunity and prior experience in specialty pharmacy is an advantage, but not required. The Shipping and Driver Pharmacy Assistant reports to the Operations Manager and supports the efficient delivery services of packaged medication from the pharmacy to our client care homes. They provide superior customer service in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner and contributes to the company in the areas of customer service to our home partners and safe delivery of medications in an organized and timely manner. The Pharmacy Assistant will also support the pharmacy shipping department with preparing of shipments, and will provide maintenance support in the pharmacy, as required. Compensation: $18-$22/hour

Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience for the role with CareRx.

Your Day To Day

• Shipping Department activities - primary activity
• Reconciling shipping medications with shipping reports and delivery totes
• Packaging items to ship
• Organizing and coordinating deliveries to shipping
• Day-to-day maintenance of our pharmacy operations both independently and in cooperation with teammates
• Delivers medication orders in company provided vehicle
• Ensures maintenance and documentation of vehicle records
• Organizing and coordinating deliveries for shipping
• Conducts maintenance work in the pharmacy to keep the workplace in good working order
• Monitoring medication expiration dates and assisting with disposal of expired or unused medications
• Restocking shelves with medications
• Contributing to the overall organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy environment
• Day-to-day maintenance of our pharmacy operations both independently and in cooperation with teammates
• Other duties will be assigned as required within the Driver or Pharmacy Support scope of responsibilities.
  
  

Minimum Licenses And Experience

• Class 5 Driver License is required
• Clear Drivers abstract will be required
• Experience with delivery driving and adhering to delivery schedules is an asset
• Competency with Microsoft Office software is an asset
