Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking friendly, knowledgeable pharmacy assistants to join our team across FreshCo banners. You will handle prescriptions, refills, pill packing, inventory, and admin tasks while delivering patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and an appreciation for accuracy and teamwork in a busy pharmacy setting. Health benefits and discounts may apply across participating banners.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews, health risk assessments).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns, and other tasks.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)

• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
