Job summary

FreshCo Pharmacy Maple Ridge is seeking a pharmacy assistant to join our Canadian pharmacy team. You’ll process prescriptions, handle in-person and phone refill requests, perform pill pack assembly, filing, and inventory tasks, while supporting clinical services scheduling and overall operations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, independence, and a strong customer-service mindset within a fast-paced environment. Training and benefits are provided to eligible teammates.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly and filing prescriptions.
• Order replenishment of supplies and perform administrative duties.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g., medication reviews).
• BTC management and pharmacy operations support.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
