Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support daily pharmacy operations across our Canadian banners. You will process prescriptions, handle in-person and phone refill requests, and assist with drug ordering and inventory.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and independent multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates hold a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and have previous pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
