Job summary

Pharmaprix in Canada is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in pharmacy operations. You will greet customers, gather prescription information, and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist, while maintaining confidential records.

Work involves data entry, processing orders, third-party billing adjudication, and helping with prescription workflow per Pharmacy Standards of Practice. A High School Diploma and Pharmacy Assistant training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Pharmacy Assistant program preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries and ensure counseling when needed.
• Maintain and operate the cash register in the dispensary with accuracy.
• Adjudicate third-party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts.
• Receive new and repeat prescription orders and file documentation per SOPs.
• Assist in prescription preparation and data entry for new prescriptions and refills.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy requirements are followed.
