Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited, Real Canadian Superstore, is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support accurate dispensing and patient care in our BC location. You will greet patients, enter data, assist with third party adjudication, and manage OTC inquiries under pharmacist supervision.

This unionized role offers flexible hours including days, evenings, nights and weekends, with a comprehensive benefits package and training. A criminal background check is required for applicants 18+.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Proficient computer/data entry skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling.
• Data entry of patient care information.
• Third party adjudication (if necessary).
• Accurate dispensing of prescription medications.
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• Handle general OTC enquiries and refer to Pharmacist when required.
