Sobeys Inc. is seeking a pharmacy assistant to join our national pharmacy team, supporting prescription assembly and compounding for Sobeys, Lawtons, and associated banners across Canada.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting while complying with company standards. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset and training will cover in-store procedures.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly, and preparation for delivery to community Lawtons and Sobeys stores.
• Working with specialized compounding equipment like fume hoods and Maz mixers
• Working with and communicating with retail pharmacies to create and supply compounds for patients
• Receiving telephone requests and questions from other Lawtons/Sobeys pharmacies.
• Ordering and replenishing supplies
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Inventory management
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
