Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in delivering pharmacy services in a community store. You will help with customer service, data entry, and administrative tasks under the supervision of a Pharmacist.

The role includes handling prescription orders, assisting with third party billing, and maintaining documentation in accordance with Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Training is provided through Academy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and gather prescription information per Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist for clinical inquiries.
• Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts.
• Receive new and repeat prescription orders and data entry.
• Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary.
• Maintain and operate cash register in the dispensary.
