Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The role supports pharmacists by assisting in dispensing prescriptions, handling administrative duties, and contributing to patient care through excellent service.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 12, be able to pass the Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test, and ideally have completed a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program with some dispensing experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or acceptable combination of experience and education.
• Completed a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Program (preferred).
• Two years of dispensing experience (desirable).
• Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of the Pharmacy Department following policies and procedures.
• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions and in dispensing tasks.
• Support inventory management, stock rotation, and merchandising in the pharmacy.
• Provide courteous customer service and maintain a clean, organized work area.
