Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Pharmacy Assistant preferred; training provided.
• Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Software is an asset.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Receive prescription drop-offs and refill requests.
• Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system.
• Prepare prescription labels and assist with prescription filling under pharmacist supervision.
• Process insurance claims and resolve routine third-party billing issues.
• Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and confidential records.
• Manage inventory, receive orders, stock shelves, and monitor medication expiry dates.
• Assist with medication packaging and compliance blister packs.
• Support pharmacists with administrative duties and daily workflow.
