Position Summary:

As aPharmacy Assistant, you will report to the Pharmacy Management team. You will work alongside your professional team members and staff, directly supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities.

The successful applicant will be assisting in maintenance and operations of the Pharmacy as described by the Pharmacy Standards of Practice and work as an integral part of a diverse team under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacist.

Compensation: $18-$22/hour

Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience for the role with CareRx.

Your Day to Day:

  • Pacmed operation (on the job training)
  • Placing medication orders
  • Inventory management
  • Data entry in Kroll software
  • Phone/ fax communication
  • Filing
  • Blister packaging
  • Other duties as required by pharmacy manager/ operations manager

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Pharmacy Assistant experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in Long Term Care Pharmacyis a strong asset but not required
  • Experience in operating PacMed automated dispensing machine is a strong asset but not required
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
