A community pharmacy network is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Assistant / Prescription Delivery Driver in Victoria, BC. Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, providing customer service, and managing deliveries. Candidates must be dependable and capable of following procedures, with preference for those having retail pharmacy experience. A valid driver's license is essential.

Overview

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Assistant / Prescription Delivery Driver to join our team at Forbes Pharmacy - Pandora in Victoria, BC.

Responsibilities
  • Prescription Processing: Assist in processing prescription orders, including data entry, labeling, and packaging under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries about medications and pharmacy services in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Medication Dispensing: Count, measure, and package prescription medications accurately and safely, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and stock incoming shipments of medications and supplies. Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock rotations, and assist with inventory audits as needed.
  • Perform pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies throughout Victoria.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Assist with processing insurance claims and coordinating prescription transfers as required.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies, including privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver large packages.
  • Complete required daily reports ensuring delivery slips are signed and submitted.
  • Handle daily bank deposits and ensure all outgoing mail is properly postmarked and sent.
  • Maintain accurate monthly delivery records and totals.
  • Ensure the safety and proper condition of the company vehicle.
  • Receive, process, and label prescriptions, ensuring accuracy before pharmacist review.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy.
  • Assist with inventory, stock management, and pharmaceutical orders.
  • Answer phones (except doctor’s line) and assist with third-party billing.
  • Manage outdated pharmaceuticals, OTC sections, and consumer information.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager / Store Operator with various tasks as needed.
  • Due to this position’s sensitive nature, the successful candidate must complete a Criminal Record Check.
  • Other Duties: Assist with special projects, promotions, and events as assigned by pharmacy management.
Qualifications
