Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Queen City Wellness Pharmacy in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
  • Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
  • Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
  • Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
  • Independent complex order entry, address insurance claims and billing issues, flag concerns to pharmacists, and ensure accurate paperwork submission.
  • Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste according to regulations
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
  • Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in advanced skills (e.g., Compounding, compliance packaging, OAT).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software Kroll is an asset.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week.
  • The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend as needed.
