Job summary

Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd in Ottawa is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacist in preparing, packaging, and distributing patient prescriptions, and to help ensure accuracy in inputting prescriptions and consent forms.

Responsibilities include inventory monitoring, completing third-party documentation, assisting with cashier duties when needed, and contributing to a warm, collaborative team focused on community care.

• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system
• Complete documentations such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify approaching and critical expiry dates
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required
• This is role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.
