Job summary

Rexall is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant in Chemainus, BC to support pharmacists with prescription preparation and distribution. The role involves inputting prescriptions, managing labels and forms in the pharmacy system, and handling related documentation.

The position requires good communication, willingness to work weeknights and weekends, and a can-do attitude to support patient care and community health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system
• Complete documentations such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify approaching and critical expiry dates
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required
• This is role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.
