Job summary

Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd in North Cowichan, British Columbia, is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacist with prescriptions, packaging, and distribution, while ensuring accuracy in inputting patient data and maintaining inventory.

You will participate in cashier responsibilities as needed, uphold Rexall values, and contribute to providing care to the community through the Rexall Care Network.

Qualifications

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Input all prescriptions, labels, and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date in the pharmacy system.
• Complete documentation such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system
• Complete documentations such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify approaching and critical expiry dates
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required
• This is role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.
