Job summary

Rejuvenation Medical Group in Edmonton is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support prescription processing, inventory management, and patient services within our Western Canada network of dermatology and multispecialty offices.

You will work closely with the pharmacist, ensuring accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and confidential handling of patient information while contributing to a collaborative team focused on quality care.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail, compounding, or clinic-based setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication handling, and dispensing procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software, Microsoft Office, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Assist the pharmacist with prescription processing, data entry, and labeling in accordance with regulations.
  • Accurately prepare, package, and organize medications under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Maintain inventory by receiving, ordering, and stocking pharmaceuticals and pharmacy supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and monitoring of medications and controlled substances.
  • Greet and assist patients in a professional manner, responding to general inquiries and coordinating refills.
  • Manage point-of-sale transactions and insurance billing processes as required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy environment.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Role Responsibilities

T h e Pharmacy Assistant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Clinic Hours

Candidates must have flexibility to work within the following hours of operation:

  • Wednesday 8 :00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Sunday - Closed
