Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in Canada. You will greet patients, verify prescription details, and enter data while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role includes dispensing medications, managing inventory, and assisting customers with OTC inquiries. Responsibilities also include handling third party adjudication when needed and coordinating prescription pickup, with schedules that may include day, evening, night shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset.

• Proficient computer/data entry skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
• Data entry of patient care information
• Third Party adjudication (if necessary)
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Handling customer prescription pick up
