Why this role is important?

Summary:

To assist with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions, support pharmacy services, and participate in the maintenance and operations of the Pharmacy according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice, providing superior, timely, and pleasant service to customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers promptly, gather prescription information, perform duties as per Role Assignment Schedule, refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist, set customer expectations regarding wait times, locate and process prescriptions, ensure counseling is referred to the Pharmacist, maintain cash register, and adhere to confidentiality and privacy requirements.
2. Administration: Handle prescription orders, prepare and submit orders excluding controlled drugs, manage third-party billing, answer calls, manage incoming faxes, coordinate call backs, and file documentation per standards.
3. Prescription Workflow: Assist in prescription preparation, data entry, medication selection, counting, packaging, labeling, and maintain accurate data within pharmacy systems.

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on experience, knowledge, and location.
