Job summary

Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing patient prescriptions. You will maintain accurate records, input orders into the pharmacy system, and ensure patient information is up to date.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work weeknights and weekends. You will also assist with inventory management and, when needed, cashier duties to support a seamless

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparation, packaging, and distribution of prescriptions.
• Input prescriptions, labels, and consent forms into the pharmacy system and ensure patient information is current.
• Complete documentation including third party management and reconciliation, and printing invoices.
• Monitor inventory levels and track expiry dates.
• Support cashier duties as needed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system
• Complete documentations such as third party management and reconciliation, filling prescriptions, printing, invoices, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify approaching and critical expiry dates
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required
