This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering Rx accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patients’ needs, and counseling with appropriate documentation to all patients. Providing friendly, positive and proactive interaction with all internal and external customers as well as creating awareness and educating customers through public relations.

What you'll do
  1. Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely for patients.
  2. Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs.
  3. Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive and proactive manner.
  4. Create awareness and educate customers through public relations activities (public health days, clinics, etc.).
  5. Provide timely and positive resolutions to patients’ needs and doctors’ requests/issues.
  6. Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
  7. Provide ongoing training for all new and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs).
What you’ll need:
  1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license.
  2. Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  3. Excellent leadership and performance management skills.
  4. Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, including experience in formulating and executing action plans.
  7. Strong personal computing skills, and knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system is a definite asset.
